2 Jay, 5 Wheatear, a Curlew, 4 Meadow Pipit and a Reed Bunting made a very pleasant walk over Strait Hey to Lower Rough Head:
An occasional sharing of my pictures and bird sightings, mainly now from Hornsea in East Yorkshire. I moved from Todmorden to Hornsea in 2014. (Click on photos to see a larger version)

Field Vole
While I was sitting watching for Wheatear yesterday at Langfield Edge, a Field Vole came quite close:
It's nice to have a bit of company.

Arrivals and non-arrivals
Chiff Chaffs have arrived here now (a few days late) but I still haven't seen a Wheatear. They have usually flown in well before the end of March. Maybe I'm just unlucky?!?
Swallows, House Martins and Sand Martins have been seen today in Brighouse (16 miles down the valley) so they should be here soon (ish).
